Why We Created Lumina
Lumina Wallet was born from a simple observation: in crypto, the majority of losses don't come from stolen seed phrases. They come from what users approve without understanding.
Every day, thousands of people connect their wallets to decentralized applications, sign transactions they don't understand, and grant unlimited permissions to smart contracts they've never verified. The result? Emptied wallets, stolen tokens, and broken trust — not because users were careless, but because their tools failed them.
We created Lumina to change that.
The Reality of Web3 Security Today
The crypto ecosystem has exploded, but wallet security hasn't kept pace. Here's what we've observed:
- Most wallets display raw hexadecimal data that no human can read.
- Approval alerts are generic and meaningless — they don't explain what you're actually signing.
- Unlimited token approvals (permits) are silently granted, giving malicious contracts permanent access to your funds.
- Phishing sites clone legitimate dApps and trick users into connecting their wallets.
- Once a transaction is signed on the blockchain, it's irreversible. There is no "undo" button.
The vast majority of existing wallets treat security as a checkbox — a simple standard warning popup that users close without reading. That's not protection. That's an illusion of security.
